Learning – 21st Century Style

Here is a holistic view of 21st century teaching and learning from p21.org. Essentially, education in the new century does not need to focus on remembering facts, because facts/knowledge are readily available via the Internet.

Instead, a blending of specific skills, content knowledge, expertise and literacies with innovative support systems becomes a must in order to help students master the multi-dimensional abilities required of them in the 21st century and beyond.

Knowledge is easy to teach, which can be easily replaced by robots. Skills are harder to gain, and harder to be replaced or outsourced.
